Note: This is a retraction to some information I had written in- Carhartt, Red Wing Shoes and more union news you may have missed, ideas, blurbs and dumbed down Americans
According to some information I have been made aware of, Carhartt still produces some of it's items "union-made" in the USA, they are not available on the Carhartt website, but can be found through a few stores nationwide which sell them. They can be distinguished by the product code beginning with the letter "U" or with the tag displaying "Made In USA"
A partial list of these retailers follows:

- Dave’s Army-Navy www.DavesNewYork.com
- G&L Clothing www.GandLClothing.com
- Workwear, Inc. www.TheWorkwearStore.com
These items are not sold on Carhartt's site. It would be nice if Carhartt would prominently display on it's site these retailers that sell "Union Made in The USA" items. Please note, it is not my intention to hurt union workers.
I am still pissed that by not letting the public know that there is a choice and by hiding this information, it makes it seem as if there is no desire to purchase "Union-Made in USA" clothing, and further deceptively hides the fact that 100% of the products offered on their website and in most stores are indeed not "Made In The USA".
Another site, which has been pointed out by Omaha Steve at Democratic Underground, is having a Made in USA blowout sale this weekend, Union House Apparel

I am a union employee of carhartt. If you have any question please post them I will do my best to answer. I am sorry but I will have to remain anonymous for fear of action against me.
Hope to help spread the word about carhartt's poor quality garments that are coming in from every where over seas and mexico.
There are rumors that drug runners are using carhartt trucks to get drugs into the U.S. BUT cannot confirm!!!

We get many costumer returns everyday, dont know how many but usually there are returned for the reason of not made in the USA.
Any questions I will do my best to answer them..
